From the 3D Blender of the Cassavetti, I cut a thin section from the center of the ribs. Then traced the half of the rib outline. With this half model vector trace, I create a mirror image for the treble side, and from this outline am able to create traditional half model mould, a full outline mould, and the mould with cutouts for the eventual corner blocks. This corner block model will be processed via a CNC machine to create an exact mould for the Viola. Along with the CNC mould pattern I create exact clamping caul models which the CNC machine will create to the exact mirror image of the viola corners.
