After meticulous attention to detail, I’ve successfully shaped and cut all the corners for the purfling. The next step, scheduled for tomorrow, involves setting the purfling and meticulously mitering these corners. Sometimes, it’s all about those precise cuts. You trim just where it’s needed, then set it aside. Take a break, come back, and look again. Rotate, examine, and repeat. But don’t overdo it. Art in progress!
Polishing up an instrument for a customer visit. I always enjoy watching musicians checking out my instruments, then picking one out and playing it. My inner satisfaction leaps as I see them feel the resonance, continuing to play one passage after another as they examine the instrument responses.
