Focused tone? I always wondered what that meant when players described a good violin. Now I feel like I understand the term. While playing Juliet, the tone and pitch are clean and stable, ‘focused’. I’m able to play with better intonation. To know where the pitch is supposed to be. She’ll be hard to send off, but there is a better player than me out there who will take her to great performances, while I make another wonderful instrument
